Visual Media Alliance hosts numerous events ranging from social to professional to allow you to connect, interact, and network with each other to gain the skills, tools, and techniques needed to improve your skills and advance your career. We hope to connect with you at our upcoming event soon.

INDUSTRY EVENTS
Java & Jabber
Java & Jabber's are a business round-table discussion with a facilitator and different topic each month over breakfast and coffee. Bring your business cards and network.

Lunch & Learn
Lunch & Learns are informative luncheons where participants can enjoy lunch (included), network with peers or potential clients and even gain insightful information from speakers who present on the hottest topics. Lunch & Learns are often held in various locations with various topics. As a VMA Member, this event is free!

Constructive Cocktails
Constructive Cocktails are a great way to network and learn something new over cocktails. Events are held during the evenings, after work hours, at convenient locations. It's informative and free for VMA members to attend.

Dinner Meetings
Dinner meetings are scheduled periodically at popular restaurants in the greater Bay Area. They include a cocktail reception, delicious dinner and dessert and always, an informative and inspiring guest speaker. Topics vary and can address sales, ancillary services, digital print, new marketing channels and more. If you would like to hear about something just let us know.

Sales Club
Nothing compares to the energy level of a room full of sales people. Sales Club meetings are much like the dinner meeting but with an emphasis, of course, on sales. Sales people are encouraged to bring their managers. Managers are encouraged to bring their sales people. Together we are guaranteed excitement, inspiration, and perhaps even a challenge or two. The Sales Club Committee welcomes volunteers to help design these events.

Showcase of Print/Design Excellence Awards
Compete with the best of the best in Northern California and Northern Nevada and receive the recognition your shop and employees deserve. Who will win gold, silver, and bronze? Who will get Best of Category, the Grand Awards, and the highest honor, Best in Show? Call for entries begin in February annually. Find out who the winners are at our annual Showcase Awards reception. All gold entries will be forwarded to the national Printing Industries of America, Premier Print Awards to covet the "Benny" trophy.

Visual Media Show a Conference + Expo
VisualMedia Show is a conference and expo for marketers, designers, creative directors, printers, media buyers, and for anyone in the visual media industry who earns a living by providing creative services to their customers. The day-long event is packed with opportunities to learn, grow, play, and connect and features keynotes, seminars on the hottest topics by leading industry-professionals, an evening networking party with hors d’oeuvres and beverages, prizes, and more.

Printing Industries of the West Management Retreat
This three-day retreat often takes place at a remote and beautiful location such as Hawaii. Keynote speakers set the tone for these events with working break-out sessions to keep ideas fresh and flying. And of course, plenty of time for R&R be it golf, tennis, shopping or just schmoozing is scheduled as well. Visual Media Alliance members, we will be joined by members of the Printing Industries of Southern California, Printing Industries of San Diego, Pacific Printing Industries in the Northwest as well as, Printing Industries of New Mexico, Printing Industries of Colorado and Printing Industries of Utah.

Managing Your Business
This will be a half-day session directed to printers with 25 or fewer employees. Topics include sales, accounting, marketing and technical

Women in Business Communications
Every women has something to offer. Women in Business Communications is a luncheon that brings women who are invested in their continual personal and professional growth together in one room to share ideas, reflect on their journey and provide the support and counsel needed to allow one another to tackle their greatest challenges.

Crab Feed
All-you-can-eat crab is only the beginning. Along with this delicious and generous 4-course dinner is a chance to cut-loose and party. A full night of food, drink, fun and friends. Come with your favorite supplier and your colleagues. Bring your bib and chow down.

Golf Tournament
Golfing has long been the sport of business. Visual Media Alliance’s Annual Golf Tournament is the opportunity to spend the day outdoors, doing what you love with your clients and suppliers. This leisurely day includes friendly competition and great networking opportunities and has long been a favorite of golfing members.

Baseball Tailgate & Game with the SF Giants
Just around the corner from the offices of Visual Media Alliance is one of the best ballparks in the country, with one of the most exciting teams. Visual Media Alliance’s Day At AT&T Park is a great company outing or another opportunity to spend time with your industry friends. The tailgate party is always a great time to fill up and warm up for the San Francisco Giants!

Bowling Tournament
Introducing VMA's first bowling tournament. Proceeds at the bowling tournament will be donated to a charity.

Meet Ups
Introducing our new events to inspire the creative community to come out and network and create something. Meet Ups will include photo walks, art talks, trips to museums, and many more.

The NorCal Business Marketing Association sponsors a broad range of educational events, including roundtables, seminars, and awards, where members meet and exchange ideas with leading innovators and thinkers in business, research, and academia. AIGA SF
The San Francisco chapter of AIGA, the professional association for design, is one of the largest and most active in the country, representing over 1,600 designers in graphics, interaction, experience, motion, and affiliated fields in the Greater Bay Area.

Direct Marketing Association of Northern California (DMANC)
The DMA of Northern California was formed to educate, inform and provide networking opportunities for Direct Marketing professionals in the San Francisco Bay Area. We hold monthly luncheon meetings, periodic half-day seminars, webinars and provide opportunity for the best in learning and job hunting in the Northern California direct marketing community.

San Francisco Marketing Association (sfAMA)
sfAMA is dedicated to advancing the practice of marketing by fostering innovation, enabling the cross-pollination of ideas, and promoting professional integrity among marketers in the Greater Bay Area. Through our programs, events, and workshops, we initiate the discussions and build the relationships that progress individual careers and evolve the marketing profession as a whole.

Graphic Artists Guild (GAG)
The Graphic Artists Guild primary purpose is to help our members build successful careers by equipping them with the skills and support needed to compete more effectively in an ever-changing field. Guild members are creative professionals and those studying to become creative professionals. We serve graphic and interactive designers, illustrators, animators, web programmers and developers.

Western Publishing Association (WPA)
The Western Publishing Association is a non-profit business association dedicated to the advancement of the media publishing industry in the western United States. WPA's primary mission, to provide continuing education to the media publishing industry, is accomplished through seminars, publishing conference, publishing roundtables, and partnering with other groups and associations to offer online audio and video conferences.

Point of Purchase Advertising International (POPAI)
Since 1936, POPAI (Point of Purchase Advertising International) has served as the leading international advocate and voice of the marketing at retail industry. We are composed of chapters worldwide and serve more than 1,400 member companies internationally. POPAI promotes, protects and advances the broader interests of the marketing at retail community through original research, certified education, awarding industry excellence, hosting trade forums and protecting intellectual and legislative rights.

Silicon Valley American Marketing Association (SVAMA)
SVAMA is the Silicon Valley chapter of the American Marketing Association ~ the premier organization for marketers. Our chapter reflects the comprehensive scope of marketing, creativity and innovation that are synonymous with Silicon Valley.
